Longwall mining damage image of James Kinney Farmstead, showing repair of the cistern between the main house and the summer kitchen. Due to subsidence damage, this cistern no longer holds water, and will be repaired as part of the restoration process. Archaeologist Jaime Vosvick (left of photo) will be supervising the repair process and cataloging any historical artifacts which are found in the cistern.
