The book: Appendix to the Congressional Globe of the 41st Congress,
Volume VII (1870) was signed by "Honorable
John A Bingham". He was known as an abolitionist opposed
to slavery, and was special judge advocate in the trial of the conspirators
against the life of President Lincoln.
These books were wrapped in a local newspaper, which contains news
items dated March 25, 1873.
